Camps

The John A. & Genny Morris Conservation Center, 600 W Sunshine St. Springfield, MO 65807. Also, home to the SPS Choice Program-WOLF School, White River Conference Center, and next door to Wonders of Wildlife.

• Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to start time.
• Most camps begin at 8am, so drop-off would begin at 7:45am
• Please make sure education staff are present prior to dropping off your child.
• All camps: On the first day of camp, all parents must check in with their child, to verify contact information. After the first day, you are welcome to utilize the car line drop-off, in front of the Conservation Center once the education staff is present.

• Wonders of Wildlife Camps: Check-out is at 3 PM. Remain in your car and join the car line in front of the building. Please have either your provided car tag or ID ready to help speed up the car line process.
• Kindergarten camp (half-day options): Check-out times are 11 am and 3 pm.
• Dogwood Canyon Camps (with WOW pickup): Check-out is at 5 PM. Remain in your car and join the car line in front of the building. Please have either your provided car tag or ID ready to help speed up the car line process.
• Dogwood Canyon Camps (with DWC pickup): Check-out is at 3 pm. Please display the car tag at the pavilion.

Summer campers will receive a t-shirt and a bag for their creations.

Yes. All camps based out of Wonders of Wildlife will go through our facility or a portion of our facility throughout the week! Dogwood Canyon camps will not go through Wonders of Wildlife, instead, they will experience Dogwood Canyon.

• Bring- Lunch every day (something that does not need to be refrigerated or heated up).
• Bring- Water bottle.
• Wear- a 2025 camp t-shirt every day. If your child is attending multiple camps, they will receive all of them on the first day of their first camp. Additional shirts will be available for purchase in advance or on the first day of camp.
• Wear- Closed-toe shoes, no flip-flops.
• Optional-A backpack- for their daily creations.
• Optional- an extra outfit. Accidents happen. It’s better to be prepared than not.
• Optional- medications. If you noted your child needs to take medication during a certain time, please bring it in a Ziplock bag with the child’s name and instructions.
• Optional- A light jacket- our classrooms can be chilly.

Please do not send your child to camp with the following items: money, personal toys, electronics (i.e. cell phones, iPads, gaming devices), collectibles, valuables, pocket knives, or other weapons, etc. All the items listed above will be taken by the lead educator and given to the parent at the time of pick-up.

Yes. We provide each camp with a daily snack. If your child is signed up for Stay & Play, they will also get one that afternoon. If your child has allergies, please make a note on their waiver.

This is our extended learning camp for guardians that need a later pick-up time. Campers will continue to engage in weekly themes with games, crafts, and further exploration of Wonders of Wildlife. This program runs until 5:30 PM every day, but you can pick up your child anytime between 3 PM-5:30 PM. This program is an additional $50 per child for the entire week.

WOW/ DWC dollars are our positive reinforcement for good behavior (depending on which property your child is attending camp at.) These dollars can be earned throughout the day/week. These dollars can only be used on our WOW/DWC Store cart items. The cart will come to each classroom at the end of each day for campers to make purchases if they’d like. These dollars are like Monopoly money and cannot be used in the Wonders of Wildlife/ Dogwood Canyon Gift Shops.
