Go beyond the exhibits and experience the inner workings of Wonders of Wildlife with our exclusive Back of House Tour! This guided adventure offers a rare look behind the scenes, showcasing the incredible care, science, and dedication that go into maintaining our world-class aquarium.
Our expert team will take you through jelly aquaculture, the Life Support Systems, water quality labs, and diet prep areas, where you’ll see firsthand how we maintain our exhibits and care for marine life. You’ll also get a unique view from the top of the Open Ocean exhibit and enjoy interactive feeding experiences, including hand-feeding stingrays and witnessing the dynamic Bait Ball feeding. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to explore the hidden world of WOW!
This tour requires general admission to Wonders of Wildlife and is not included in the cost of this experience.

WONDERS OF WILDLIFE TICKETS
Admission to Wonders of Wildlife is a separate ticket and required to participate in the Behind the WOW tour.

48-hour notice is required to reschedule or cancel your encounter or tour. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance will not receive a refund.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
- All participants must be 8 years of age or older. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a paid participating parent or guardian.
- Each participant is required to sign a waiver by all participant or participant’s parent or guardian prior to entry. CLICK HERE to download the waiver
- All Participants must be able to walk unassisted up stairways and navigate uneven and possibly wet terrain. (i.e., you may not carry your child).
- Due to the nature of the experience the tour may be made up of multiple, unrelated parties.
- Tour length is 90 minutes
- Certain behind-the-scenes areas are noisy and may be alarming to individuals with audio sensitivity. In addition, there will be variations in smell and lighting levels.
- Due to the nature of this tour, you will be exposed to shellfish and fish, so guest with these allergies should not participate.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
No food, drinks, or strollers are not permitted on this tour.
WHAT TO BRING
Closed-Toed Shoes – We recommend wearing athletic-style shoes. Open-toed shoes like flip flops, sandals, crocs, and heels are not permitted. For the safety of our animals, you will be required to step into a shallow disinfectant shoe bath prior to entering the exhibit.
Photos are allowed in specific areas of the facility with no flash, but video recording and live streaming are not allowed
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
- Arrive at the Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium entrance at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled Behind the WOW time
- If you are late, you will miss the tour, as they start promptly at the top of the hour, no refunds/reschedule will be provided to guest arriving late.
- Check-in for the experience will be at the Aquarium Great Oceans Hall lobby near the glass elevator.
- All participants will be guided through an overview of the experience, including a safety briefing, and will have a waiver to sign.

- There are no restrooms stops along the tour, so please plan accordingly.
- Participants will be escorted by staff throughout the entire experience.
