Drop your student off for a morning of in-depth scientific exploration as they conduct experiments, dissect specimens, build masterpieces and much more! New topics are offered each spring and fall. Scholarships are available, click here to apply.

- EdVenture programs are held at the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Education Center located at 600 West Sunshine Street Springfield, MO 65807

Life Under a Rotting Log

You won’t believe the cool critters that live under a log on the forest floor. Spend the morning at WOW and experience this microhabitat close up! Discover an ecosystem that is full of strange and fantastic life forms, including mosses, fungus, insects, and more. Go on an indoor hike in the aquarium! Practice safe techniques for flipping logs and rocks while learning good Exploration Ethics.

Homeschool Discount Days
Wonders of Wildlife hosts homeschool students across the region for a day of discounted admission and learning opportunities. Students will experience the thrill of touching stingrays at the bottom of a sunken shipwreck and have sea stars at their fingertips. With the help of our passionate team of educators, staff, and volunteers, your students are guaranteed to have a great time while learning about the beautiful and complex world we live in.
- Homeschool Discount Days will be offered 3 times per year.
- Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the ticket counter on the day of.
- Members are welcome but are subject to our normal operating hours.
Wonders of Wildlife (4 Hours)
Homeschool Discount Days include admission into both the Aquarium and Wildlife Galleries. The 350,000 sqft experience celebrates the critical role responsible hunting and fishing plays in wildlife conservation and inspires visitors to enjoy, love and conserve the great outdoors.
About the Aquarium (2 Hours)
Dive into a world-class aquarium adventure featuring 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles and birds in an immersive journey through the world’s underwater habitats including colorful coral reefs, tropical coasts, freshwater swamps, steamy rain forests and more!
About the Wildlife Galleries (1 Hour)
Go eye-to-eye with wildlife and discover the greatest collection of record-setting big game animals ever assembled. Completely immersive exhibits transport visitors to the wildest places on Earth through meticulously recreated 4-D dioramas that include the realistic sights, sounds and smells of awe-inspiring habitats from North America, Africa and the Arctic.
- All chaperones must be 18 years and older.
- Chaperones must accompany students at all times. Students are not permitted to explore the Wildlife Galleries, Aquarium, Bass Pro Shops or the Conservation Center unsupervised.
- Minimum chaperone requirement: 1 adult per 8 students
- Maximum chaperone allotment: 1 adult per 1 student. Additional adults may still attend but will be subject to regular pricing.
To prevent overcrowding and provide the best possible guest experience, Wonders of Wildlife offers timed ticketing. Homeschool Day participants will also receive a special entry hour to enjoy the facility before it opens to members and the general public. Please purchase tickets for Homeschool Day by clicking on your desired entry time below.
Students must be ages 4-17, 18 with proof of enrollment.
Acceptable proof of enrollment documents includes:
– letter of intent
– online course receipt
– certified letter from the state in which the student resides

If you are unable to attend the Homeschool Discount Day, please contact the Wonders of Wildlife Education Department at 417-225-1162. Refunds minus a $10 service fee will be granted to all cancellations made with at least 2 weeks’ notice. No refunds will be given for tickets with less than 2 weeks’ notice.
To prevent fraud, Wonders of Wildlife does not allow Homeschool Discount Day tickets to be transferred to other individuals. During check in you will be asked to present a valid form of ID along with your e-ticket.
Homeschool Discount Day tickets may not be exchanged for other products.
Homeschool Discount Day tickets may not be upgraded to memberships. Current members are welcome to attend with individuals purchasing the Homeschool Discount Day tickets.
Members may join other guests purchasing Homeschool Discount Day tickets but may be asked to wait to enter until 10am depending on guest volume. Homeschool Discount Day tickets cannot be upgraded to memberships.
